The worst drought in 100 years, coupled with a heat wave and temperatures in the high 40s. It’s a recipe for disaster and it’s struck the heart of Queensland cattle country, with farmers at breaking point and stock and wildlife dropping like flies.
It doesn’t sound like the makings of an entertaining yarn, but was actually an uplifting and timely story told on Australia Day.
